Get to know the Green Party platform

7:30pm on Thursday, January 5, 2006

On January 5th, we will be holding an information night for Green Party volunteers, supporters, and the curious. The format will be a question and answer session. We’re going to be warming up with:

  • Will the Kyoto treaty really stop climate change? If not, is it worth saving?
  • Is the Liberal government really trying to protect the environment or is it just pretending?
  • Why does the Green Party think that saving the environment will require changing the tax rules?
  • What does the GPC think about health care?
  • Does the GPC think that the public service is penetrated by massive corruption?
  • What are the main differences between the Green Party and the NDP? the Conservatives? the Liberals?

The session will be led by David Chernushenko, GPC candidate for Ottawa Centre and Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Canada. He will outline the main planks of the GPC program, and answer any questions you have as well. We will also have coffee and donuts.

The strength of the Green Party lies in the strength of its ideas. Lets get cracking – we have an election to win!

When: Thursday, January 5th, 7:30 – 9:00 pm.
Where: David Chernushenko Campaign Headquarters, 615 Bank Street.

RSVP: If you intend to attend, please RSVP to Lissa Greenspoon, Assistant Campaign Manager for David Chernushenko.
