Get to know the Green Party platform

7:30pm on Tuesday, January 17, 2006

On January 17th, we will be holding an information night for those curious about Green Party policy on Carleton University campus. Students, volunteers, and other interested parties are all welcome.

The evening will be in the format of a question and answer session, warming up with:

  • Will the Kyoto treaty really stop climate change? If not, is it worth saving?
  • Is the Liberal government really trying to protect the environment or is it just pretending?
  • Why does the Green Party think that saving the environment will require changing the tax rules?
  • What does the GPC think about health care?
  • Does the GPC think that the public service is penetrated by massive corruption?
  • What are the main differences between the Green Party and the NDP? the Conservatives? the Liberals?

The session will be led by David Chernushenko, GPC candidate for Ottawa Centre and Deputy Leader of the Green Party of Canada. He will outline the main planks of the GPC program, and answer any questions you have as well. We will also have coffee and donuts.

The strength of the Green Party lies in the strength of its ideas. Lets get cracking – we have an election to win!

When: Tuesday, January 17th, 7:30 – 9:00 pm.
Where: Room 301, Dunton Tower, Carleton University.

RSVP: If you intend to attend, please RSVP to Evan Hughes, President of the Carleton University Green Party Club.
