Following up on the orientation session held several weeks ago at the Royal Oak, the Ottawa-Centre riding association will be kicking off a series of ongoing volunteer nights on Thusday, November 23 at 7pm at the Green Party of Canada head office, unit 204 – 396 Cooper St. in Ottawa.

This will be the first in an ongoing series of volunteer nights that we aim to hold every other Thursday evening. The main purpose of these sessions will be to start preparing for the next federal election (whenever that might be!), so that we are ready to hit the ground running when it does happen. In the short term, we need help contacting and updating all the names on our huge contact list, so this will be the main task for the first session, but we will also need help in the future with mail-outs, canvassing, outreach, the newsletter, and other tasks as they arise.

We hope you will be able to join us next Thursday. Please contact Mark Brooks if you plan on attending so we will have some idea of numbers. You are not obligated to make any long-term volunteer commitment and you don’t have to be a member to help out.
