The CEO of the Ottawa-South Green Party riding association (Dick Bakker) has said that they are trying to get their membership to surpass ours here in Ottawa-Centre. Well, we wish them luck. We have the distinction of having more Green Party members than any other riding in the country, and we aren’t going to take a challenge like that lying down.

I have to admit that I wasn’t really worried until a fellow Green mentioned that there were about 30 people at the Ottawa-South pub night on Tuesday. Ouch! That’s pretty good, especially when you consider that the riding just got a new executive in the past few months. It sounds like we’re in for a bit of a race.
