The Globe and Mail and CTV News released survey results today that indicate that 20% of Canadians are either “very likely” or “somewhat likely” to vote for the Green Party during the next federal election.

The survey also indicated that the environment has overtaken health care and security as the most important issue for Canadians. 63% of those surveyed also felt that Canada should continue to work towards reaching its Kyoto targets, with 83% agreeing that global warming has the potential to harm future generations.
When asked which political party had the best environmental plan, the Green Party came first with 27% support. The Liberals were second with 16%, followed by the Conservatives (12%), NDP (9%) and Bloc (2%).
