David Chernushenko is seeking the Green Party nomination for the riding of Ottawa-Centre. He represented the riding during the federal elections in 2004 (receiving 7% of the popular vote) and 2006 (receiving 10.2% of the popular vote). Mr. Chernushenko helped author the Green Party Green Plan. He is currently the Senior Deputy to the Leader of Green Party.

As President of the riding I am very glad that both Mr. Chernushenko and Mr. Dauvergne have entered the race. Both are dedicated, competent, and intelligent individuals.
