Tonight, David Chernushenko won the nomination for Ottawa-Centre. He and his opponent, John Dauvergne, spoke to a packed room of Greens at the McNabb community centre.

This is the first time we’ve had a race in our riding. For the past three elections, the candidate has either been acclaimed, or selected by the Green Party leader once the writ is dropped. I was impressed with both candidates, and would have been happy to have either of them represent me - but the members chose Mr. Chernushenko by a high margin.
