Little Damage from Carbon Tax: Report

A report to the Conservative government, presented in January 2007, reveals that the economic damage from a carbon tax of $50 per tonne of greenhouse gas emissions would be extremely minimal in the short term, and slightly beneficial in the long term. The Green Party of Canada has proposed a carbon tax of $50 per tonne.
The report, delivered by Mark Jaccard, was obtained by the Green Party through the Access to Information Act.
