Ottawa Centre Green Party of Ontario candidate Greg Laxton will hold a fundraising evening at The Green Door Restaurant on Monday, August 27th. Laxton will talk about the upcoming provincial referendum on electoral reform.

Progress on many issues, Laxton says, could hinge on its outcome: “This referendum is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for us to fix our voting system. The Mixed Member Proportional system recommended by the Citizens’ Assembly will retain the best features of our current system and guarantee the proportional results necessary for real democracy.�

The Green Door Restaurant is located at 198 Main Street. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are available in advance at The Arbour Shop, located at 800 Bank Street, or at the door. Please advise if you intend to come so we can estimate numbers!

Tickets are $60. Tax receipts will be issued in the amount of $50.
