What: Join a group of environmentally-minded citizens in Ottawa to discuss the latest environmental news such as how great John Baird is for the environment … wait a minute … I must have had a few green drinks already. Green Drinks happens at the same place on the second Wednesday of every month. Note that Green Drinks is not affiliated with the Green Party.

What: Pay-what-you-can movies shown on big screen in the park each Friday and Saturday night. Many movies are hosted by NGOs and proceeds from shows go to them. Bring your own lawn chair.

What: Over 250 of the top chamber musicians from Canada and the international scene will perform in acoustically perfect heritage churches

What: Celebrate our UNESCO World Heritage Site (Rideau Canal) with heritage, cycling, and boating experiences and more. They are committed to being the first ‘zerofootprint’ festival ever staged in Canada.

Sports: “2008 Ontario Summer Games�
Where: Locations in Ottawa
What: The Ontario Games are the Province’s premiere multi-sport event and provide sports competition for youth between the ages of 11 and 22. The Games will involve approximately 3,500 participants (athletes, coaches and officials) from across the province, as well as over 1,000 volunteers.
