Ottawa Centre AGM
Version française
The Electoral District Association (EDA) for the Green Party of Canada in Ottawa Centre is holding its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 7:30 pm at the McNabb Community Centre (180 Percy St. at Gladstone).
This is a great opportunity to meet our amazing new candidate, Jen Hunter, as we prepare for a possible fall election, and to learn about the EDA’s activities in the past year. We will also hold two important votes: one to elect the EDA Executive for 2008-2009, and the other to amend the EDA constitution to harmonize it with that of other Green EDAs.
For more information on the AGM, click HERE. If you are interested in learning more about the constitutional amendments being proposed, please click HERE.
In order to vote at the AGM, you must be a member in good standing of the Green Party of Canada, residing within the boundaries of the riding of Ottawa Centre.
There will be a check-in table at the AGM, and we will verify your membership. Lapsed members will not be able to vote at the AGM, but will be able to renew their memberships. But why wait? You can renew online at www.greenparty.ca. Click on “Join at the top right of the page and follow the instructions. And to give the Greens a boost leading up to the next election, please encourage your family and friends to join as well.
Campaign Team: Some of the key positions on Jen’s campaign team still need to be filled, including Campaign Manager, Volunteer Coordinator and Canvassing Coordinator. If you are interested, or if you know anyone who might be, please contact Jen at 613-858-0874 or jen (at) ottawagreens.ca.
See you on Sept. 18!
