Elections Canada rules dictate that candidates cease to be candidates once the election is over. That means we have to go through the process of nominating a candidate anew for the next election. The Green Party hasn’t opened its nominations yet, but we’re inviting potential candidates to step forward now. The nomination race will likely be held in 2009, but the sooner we get started, the better.
