Ottawa Greens’ CEO change
Anouk Hoedeman, who had been CEO of the Ottawa Centre association of the Green Party of Canada since the summer of 2007, has had to resign. She has accepted a job that deals with Elections Canada, and they required her to not be a member of any political party. We wish her well in her employment, and thank her profusely for the great job she has done with the Green Party of Canada in Ottawa Centre.
On January 12 the executive of the Ottawa Centre association of the Green Party of Canada elected Kevin O’Donnell as our new CEO. Kevin has lived in the Ottawa Centre neighbourhood of Westboro since 2003 and currently works as a computer programmer for several local companies. After volunteering for Jen Hunter’s 2008 Election Campaign he offered to assist the Ottawa Centre Greens with activities and now, as CEO, is looking forward to helping build the party as we progress towards the next election. Thank you, Kevin, for stepping forward into this role. The pay is zero, but the warm fuzzies you get in your heart for helping change politics in Canada is truly priceless!
