As most of you already know, this summer is a very exciting time for the Green Party of Canada. We have outstanding candidates running for leadership, a record number of people running for council positions, a record high membership of over six thousand members and a policy convention from August 24 to 27. At the National Convention we will be debating and voting on policy resolutions, electing a new Leader of the Party and the governing Council, and holding a general meeting of the membership to select Shadow Cabinet Advocates, the Ombuds Committee and vote on various resolutions.
We are looking for volunteers to help out at the convention with ballot counting, translation, recording of workshops, registration, photography, general information, facilitating debates and more!
Volunteering for the National Convention is a great opportunity to learn about and participate in the political process, while also making many new friends who share similar values. You can learn important new skills and gain work experience, or use these hours towards required volunteer hours for school programs.
Applications will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis, so if you are interested, please apply as soon as possible!
