From February 27th to March 1st, Green Party members from across the country will be attending the Biennial General Meeting in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. At the meeting, forums, speakers, and policy debates will provide every attendee a full range of Green options to strengthen our party.

The Ottawa-Centre EDA has decided to provide local members with a $250 subsidy to offset the cost of attending the conference. A maximum of two subsidies will be awarded ($250 per individual). In order to receive a subsidy an applicant must meet the requirements set out below. An EDA committee will review all applications and select the recipient(s) on the strength of their application. The committee may choose to award one, two or no subsidies. The decision of the committee will be final.

Requirements

In order to apply you must meet all of the following requirements:

• Be a member in good standing of the Green Party of Canada.
• Be an active participant in the Ottawa-Centre EDA.
• Commit to providing a written report on the activities you participated in while at the convention.
• Commit to presenting the report in person at a future EDA meeting.

Congrès bisannuel du Parti Vert du Canada

Du 27 février au 1er mars, les membres du Parti Vert du Canada sont invités à participer au congrès bisannuel, tenu cette année dans le comté historique de Pictou, en Nouvelle-Écosse. C’est l’opportunité d’assister à des débats politiques, d’écouter des conférenciers et de participer à des forums pour décider l’avenir de notre parti.

L’association de circonscription électorale (ACE) d’Ottawa-Centre a décidé de fournir une subvention à ses membres pour encourager la représentation de notre région. Un maximum de deux subventions de 250$ seront accordées (limite d’une subvention par membre). Pour être admissible, le candidat doit satisfaire aux critères de sélection énoncées ci-dessous. Un sous-comité de l’ACE révisera les soumissions et sélectionnera les récipiendaires d’après la force de leur application. Le comité se réserve le droit de choisir un, deux ou aucun récipiendaire(s). La décision du comité est finale.

Critères de sélection

Pour être admissible, un candidat doit:

• Être un membre en règle du Parti Vert du Canada.
• Être un résident d’Ottawa-Centre, ou un participant actif de l’ACE d’Ottawa-Centre.
• Promettre d’écrire un rapport sur leur expérience au congrès.
• Promettre de présenter leur rapport à une réunion ultérieure de l’ACE.
