Join the Climate Justice Leaflet Crew in Westboro this Saturday
From a Polaris Institute press release:
In the countdown to the UN climate discussions in Copenhagen this December, the Polaris Institute is raising awareness about destruction caused by tar sands oil and the need for Canada to transition out of these dirty developments. We are going block by block in central Ottawa neighbourhoods to talk to residents about the power they have to call on their member of parliament to stand up for a green economy and healthy communities. This campaign pressures all the federal parties and is non-partisan. We need your help to get the word out!
This coming Saturday, a Climate Justice Leaflet Crew will be placing doorhangers on households in Westborough. Join us!
When: Noon on Saturday Sept 26th
Where: Meet at the Bridgehead (Wellington and Caroline - 1277 Wellington St.)
Other week-nights and weekends are scheduled all the way through until the launch of the international climate talks in Copenhagen in December! So, if you’re interested, but can’t come out, please be in touch for further details on future meeting places and times!
