Local Team: In Ottawa Centre we operate as a team working towards electing our candidates to Parliament and Queen’s Park.  Strictly speaking there are two groups in Ottawa Centre: a provincial “Constituency Association” for the Green Party of Ontario as well as a federal “Electoral District Association” for the Green Party of Canada.  But in practice we are a single group of Green Party supporters and want to hear from you about your ideas for Ottawa Centre, for Ottawa, for Ontario and for Canada.

Know More: You’re probably here because you want to know more about the Green Party.  Before dropping a dozen or so website links on you it’s worth mentioning that the best way to know more about us is to come out to an event and meet the people in your community who share your values and interests.  All of us have interesting and unique stories about why the Green Party is our choice – come out and hear ours and share yours.

• The Green Party of Canada’s Vision Green presents a well-researched analysis of critical environmental, economic and social challenges facing Canadians from coast to coast to coast, and presents practical solutions that can be achieved if there is the political will and leadership to take forward-looking action.
• The Green Party of Ontario’s Ten Key Values are the base from which all GPO policy and platform items are formed.  In addition to Ecological Wisdom, the GPO strives to put forward solutions based on Gender Equality, Community Based Economics and Social Justice.

Your Federal Candidate: Jen Hunter is your federal candidate for the Green Party of Canada. Her knowledge and passion for a Green economy has grown over the past two years as she has been part of the Green Business Management faculty at Algonquin College.  She continues to run her own business, The Learning Catalyst where she has worked closely with Leadership Ottawa to ensure our community leadership capacity continues to flourish.
